Recessed Cap Control Knob with White Position Indicator
Recessed Cap Control Knob with White Position Indicator
This distinctive control knob features a unique recessed cap design that creates an elegant stepped profile, setting it apart from conventional flat-topped knobs. The cylindrical body showcases pronounced vertical ridges around its circumference for enhanced grip, while a bright white position indicator protrudes from the side, providing clear visual reference for control positioning. The recessed top cap not only adds to the knob's classic aesthetic but also serves as a comfortable finger rest for fine adjustments.
The textured grip surface with its vertical ridging ensures reliable operation in various conditions, making this knob particularly suitable for audio equipment, vintage restoration projects, and control panels where both style and functionality matter. The contrasting white position indicator with its dual line and dot markings remains highly visible against the black finish, making it ideal for applications requiring quick visual reference of control settings.

Hole Type

Round Hole
A knob designed for a round shaft has a smooth, cylindrical hole that matches the shaft's shape. This type of hole allows the knob to slide easily onto the shaft, relying on a grub screw / set screw or friction to keep it in place. This design is widely used in audio equipment, consumer electronics, and control panels due to its simplicity and versatility
A knob with a round hole can typically also be used on a D type shaft in the 180° position (where the position indicator is opposite to the flat of the D) and can often also be mouned to splined shafts in low torque applications.
