Ridged Grip Control Knob with Silver Cap

Ridged Grip Control Knob with Silver Cap

This control knob features a distinctive black cylindrical body topped with a polished silver aluminium cap. The most striking visual element is the bold white position indicator line that extends vertically from the silver cap down the full length of the black body, providing excellent contrast for precise position reading. The black body is enhanced with fine horizontal ridges around its entire circumference, creating a textured grip surface that ensures secure handling during operation.

The knob's high-contrast design and ridged grip surface make it particularly well-suited for audio equipment applications such as mixing consoles and amplifiers where precise control adjustments are critical. The prominent white indicator line allows for accurate positioning even in dimly lit studio environments, while the textured surface provides confident tactile feedback without requiring visual confirmation of grip placement.

Hole Type

Round Hole

A knob designed for a round shaft has a smooth, cylindrical hole that matches the shaft's shape. This type of hole allows the knob to slide easily onto the shaft, relying on a grub screw / set screw or friction to keep it in place. This design is widely used in audio equipment, consumer electronics, and control panels due to its simplicity and versatility

A knob with a round hole can typically also be used on a D type shaft in the 180° position (where the position indicator is opposite to the flat of the D) and can often also be mouned to splined shafts in low torque applications.
