Chickenhead Control Knob with Extended Pointer

Chickenhead Control Knob with Extended Pointer

This distinctive chickenhead-style control knob features an elongated pointer design that extends well beyond the main body, creating a prominent visual indicator for precise positioning. The knob's characteristic rounded cap is complemented by a substantial tail section that provides excellent grip and leverage for smooth operation.

The extended pointer incorporates a crisp white position line that clearly marks the current setting against any scale or reference points. The knob's body showcases clean, curved contours typical of the chickenhead design, whilst the substantial tail section offers enhanced control for applications requiring fine adjustments or high torque operation. This design makes it particularly well-suited for amplifier controls, mixing desks, and precision equipment where accurate positioning and reliable operation are essential.

Hole Type

Round Hole

A knob designed for a round shaft has a smooth, cylindrical hole that matches the shaft's shape. This type of hole allows the knob to slide easily onto the shaft, relying on a grub screw / set screw or friction to keep it in place. This design is widely used in audio equipment, consumer electronics, and control panels due to its simplicity and versatility

A knob with a round hole can typically also be used on a D type shaft in the 180° position (where the position indicator is opposite to the flat of the D) and can often also be mouned to splined shafts in low torque applications.
