7-Sided Fluted Rotary Control Knob with Position Indicator
7-Sided Fluted Rotary Control Knob with Position Indicator
This distinctive control knob showcases seven evenly spaced fluted sides around its circumference, each featuring gently curved indentations that create an attractive heptagonal profile. The design combines functionality with visual appeal, offering excellent grip and tactile feedback through its sculpted surface geometry. The knob's top surface presents a clean, flat appearance with a contrasting position indicator line that extends from the centre point to the outer edge, providing clear visual reference for rotational positioning.
The compact cylindrical form tapers subtly towards the base, creating an elegant silhouette that complements both vintage and contemporary equipment designs. This knob is particularly well-suited for musical instruments, guitar effects pedals, and audio equipment where precise control and visual feedback are essential. The internal fixing system ensures reliable attachment whilst maintaining the knob's streamlined external appearance.

Hole Type

Round Hole
A knob designed for a round shaft has a smooth, cylindrical hole that matches the shaft's shape. This type of hole allows the knob to slide easily onto the shaft, relying on a grub screw / set screw or friction to keep it in place. This design is widely used in audio equipment, consumer electronics, and control panels due to its simplicity and versatility
A knob with a round hole can typically also be used on a D type shaft in the 180° position (where the position indicator is opposite to the flat of the D) and can often also be mouned to splined shafts in low torque applications.
