Large Duckbill Instrument / Amplifier / Machine Control Knob

Large Duckbill Instrument / Amplifier / Machine Control Knob

A rotary control knob with a flattened grip area. The duckbill design of these knobs provides a strong grip for turning and a strong visual and tactile indication of the knob position. Duckbill knobs are a good choice for situations where the user has limited dexterity, such as when wearing gloves. The knob is designed to withstand frequent use and harsh environments, making it a reliable option for controlling industrial machinery and electronic equipment.

Hole Type

Round Hole

A knob designed for a round shaft has a smooth, cylindrical hole that matches the shaft's shape. This type of hole allows the knob to slide easily onto the shaft, relying on a grub screw / set screw or friction to keep it in place. This design is widely used in audio equipment, consumer electronics, and control panels due to its simplicity and versatility

A knob with a round hole can typically also be used on a D type shaft in the 180° position (where the position indicator is opposite to the flat of the D) and can often also be mouned to splined shafts in low torque applications.
