Duckbill Control Knob with Flattened Grip
Duckbill Control Knob with Flattened Grip
This distinctive control knob features a unique duckbill design with a flattened grip area that provides exceptional tactile feedback and precise positioning control. The knob's elongated profile creates a pronounced visual and physical indicator of its rotational position, making it ideal for applications where accurate setting identification is crucial.
The knob's ergonomic design incorporates a smooth cylindrical body with a distinctive flattened section that extends along one side, creating the characteristic duckbill appearance. A contrasting position indicator line runs along the flattened edge, providing clear visual reference for the knob's orientation. The substantial grip area ensures comfortable operation even when wearing gloves or in challenging operating conditions, making it particularly suitable for professional audio equipment, laboratory instruments, and industrial control panels where reliability and precision are paramount.

Hole Type

Round Hole
A knob designed for a round shaft has a smooth, cylindrical hole that matches the shaft's shape. This type of hole allows the knob to slide easily onto the shaft, relying on a grub screw / set screw or friction to keep it in place. This design is widely used in audio equipment, consumer electronics, and control panels due to its simplicity and versatility
A knob with a round hole can typically also be used on a D type shaft in the 180° position (where the position indicator is opposite to the flat of the D) and can often also be mouned to splined shafts in low torque applications.
