Compact Ridged Control Knob with Position Indicator
Compact Ridged Control Knob with Position Indicator
This compact control knob features a distinctive ridged circumference that provides exceptional grip and control precision. The knob's cylindrical body tapers subtly from base to top, creating an ergonomic profile that sits comfortably under fingertips. A clear position indicator line extends from the centre of the slightly domed top surface down the side, offering precise visual feedback of the current setting.
The knob's most striking feature is its finely ridged exterior surface, with numerous parallel grooves running vertically along the entire circumference. These ridges not only enhance grip but also add visual texture that distinguishes this knob from smoother alternatives. The top surface maintains a clean, uninterrupted dome shape that contrasts beautifully with the textured sides. This knob excels in applications requiring frequent adjustments where tactile feedback and visual position indication are essential, making it particularly suitable for audio equipment, test instruments, and control panels where precision and reliability matter.

Hole Type

Round Hole
A knob designed for a round shaft has a smooth, cylindrical hole that matches the shaft's shape. This type of hole allows the knob to slide easily onto the shaft, relying on a grub screw / set screw or friction to keep it in place. This design is widely used in audio equipment, consumer electronics, and control panels due to its simplicity and versatility
A knob with a round hole can typically also be used on a D type shaft in the 180° position (where the position indicator is opposite to the flat of the D) and can often also be mouned to splined shafts in low torque applications.
