Colour Cap Collet Fixing Control Knob
Colour Cap Collet Fixing Control Knob
This distinctive control knob features a grey cylindrical body with subtle vertical ridges running along its circumference, providing enhanced grip and tactile feedback. The standout feature is its removable coloured cap that conceals the clamping mechanism beneath, available in vibrant green, yellow, blue, and red options to suit different applications or colour-coding requirements.
The knob's straight-sided profile and compact 21mm diameter make it ideal for applications where space is at a premium, whilst the collet-style clamping system ensures a secure, reliable connection to 6mm round shafts. A clear white position indicator line on both the cap and body provides precise visual feedback of the control's current setting, making it particularly well-suited for audio equipment, test instruments, and control panels where accurate positioning is essential.

Hole Type

Round Hole
A knob designed for a round shaft has a smooth, cylindrical hole that matches the shaft's shape. This type of hole allows the knob to slide easily onto the shaft, relying on a grub screw / set screw or friction to keep it in place. This design is widely used in audio equipment, consumer electronics, and control panels due to its simplicity and versatility
A knob with a round hole can typically also be used on a D type shaft in the 180° position (where the position indicator is opposite to the flat of the D) and can often also be mouned to splined shafts in low torque applications.
