Silver Cap Large Black Retro Fluted Control Knob

Silver Cap Large Black Retro Fluted Control Knob

This distinctive control knob features deep vertical flutes running along its cylindrical body, providing excellent grip and tactile feedback during operation. The knob's most striking characteristic is its polished silver metal end cap that sits prominently at the top, creating an elegant contrast against the dark body. A crisp white position indicator line extends from the top surface, travels down the side of the knob, and continues across the circular base skirt, offering precise visual reference for rotational positioning.

The knob's substantial construction combines a textured grip surface with a smooth circular base that provides stability during adjustment. The fluted design not only enhances functionality but also adds visual interest, making this knob particularly well-suited for high-end audio equipment, vintage-style electronics, and professional control panels where both performance and aesthetics matter. The recessed position indicator ensures durability whilst maintaining clear visibility across the knob's full rotation range.

Hole Type

Round Hole

A knob designed for a round shaft has a smooth, cylindrical hole that matches the shaft's shape. This type of hole allows the knob to slide easily onto the shaft, relying on a grub screw / set screw or friction to keep it in place. This design is widely used in audio equipment, consumer electronics, and control panels due to its simplicity and versatility

A knob with a round hole can typically also be used on a D type shaft in the 180° position (where the position indicator is opposite to the flat of the D) and can often also be mouned to splined shafts in low torque applications.
