Aluminium Skirted Control Knob with Scale or Pointer Indicator

Aluminium Skirted Control Knob with Scale or Pointer Indicator

This distinctive control knob features a substantial aluminium skirt with clearly printed numerical markings around its entire circumference or a printed triangle indicator, providing precise position indication for professional applications. The tapered body showcases pronounced ridged detailing that extends around its full diameter, offering excellent grip and tactile feedback during operation.

The knob is crowned with a polished aluminium end cap that complements the metallic skirt, creating a sophisticated two-tone appearance. The internal fitting incorporates a secure fixing mechanism for reliable shaft attachment. This design makes it particularly well-suited for audio equipment, test instruments, and precision control applications where accurate positioning and professional aesthetics are essential.

Hole Type

Round Hole

A knob designed for a round shaft has a smooth, cylindrical hole that matches the shaft's shape. This type of hole allows the knob to slide easily onto the shaft, relying on a grub screw / set screw or friction to keep it in place. This design is widely used in audio equipment, consumer electronics, and control panels due to its simplicity and versatility

A knob with a round hole can typically also be used on a D type shaft in the 180° position (where the position indicator is opposite to the flat of the D) and can often also be mouned to splined shafts in low torque applications.
